FAQs

  • Thanks for asking. I’m not taking any personal commissions at this time.

  • I'm inspired by everything I experience through my five senses. Music and lyrics have the most influence on my work, followed by fantasy novels and photography.

  • That's a great question. I love learning about how other creatives spend their days. My year can be divided into school and summer.

During my son's school year, my weekdays have a predictable flow. Each morning, my alarm goes off at the same time as my son's, and he hops into bed with me for an extra ten minutes. Then we're off to the races to get ourselves ready and eat breakfast while my husband makes lunch for our son. I walk with my son to school, and once home, I start boiling water for tea while writing my morning pages. Then it's art time until lunch. I give myself a solid hour for lunch, followed by an afternoon of more art or the climbing gym. When it's time to pick my son up from school, I walk, and we hang out until his screen time. My evenings typically start at this time, and I'll either work on art I'm really excited about or one of my hobbies. My husband usually makes dinner and plays with our son before helping him get ready for bed. When my son's bedtime routine starts, it's my cue to tidy and do the dishes. Once my husband and I are done, we'll often play board games together. I tend to go to bed early unless my brain is wired, and then all bets are off. Fridays are half days for my son, so I do things around the house in the mornings and go to the climbing gym before walking to pick him up from school. We'll eat lunch and try to do something fun for the rest of the day. My weekends are for family, friends, and hobbies.

During the summers, I work around my son's summer activities. Days lack consistency, with each day and week being wildly different from the one before or the one after. My schedule is a lot more loose, but I do what I can to keep mornings and evenings similar to my days during the school year.
